There's a delicate transition period when you're beginning to create something personal but haven't yet developed the inner confidence to fully express yourself.

It's a tender phase. You haven't yet developed your own root, so you're drawn to external guidance to root for you. But you're adopting it in ways that prevent you from developing your unique voice and style.

It may temporarily help you feel more solid, but it cannot guide you to your authentic expression. Your voice-finding requires that you learn to balance support with space for making it your own.

Or you'll lose yourself in what you create... Again. Just as you've lost yourself in what you've created before that made you want to create something personal...

Beautifully said! This adds so much depth.

Yes, "adopting that external guidance in ways that prevent us from developing our unique voice and style" is the heart of it.

Leaning too heavily on that external guidance eventually leads to us losing our essence. And, in the end, we don't even recognize who we have become.

Great articulation of the emotional side of it, Klara. Thank you so much.

Great read Nik. I enjoy the shorter formats. The depth doesn't get lost as it connects nicely to your other content. Maybe insert some links?

I really like the idea of a "template." I associate mostly design templates with it. The reframe to the Identity Signature is beautiful. I resonate a lot with the idea of it being an expression of your core.

Thanks, Philipp! Really glad you're enjoying the shorter format. :)

The suggestion to insert some links is a great one. I'll definitely keep that in mind for future posts.

And great to hear this "Template vs Identity Signature" reframe resonated with you. I agree, seeing Identity Signature as an expression of your core is the whole point!

Thank you again!
